With nature. In nature.
Obermeier is a thoroughly Bavarian company, headquartered in Schwindegg and with a factory in Babensham. This means we work and live in one of Bavaria’s most beautiful regions. That is undoubtedly a privilege. But it is also a great source of motivation to do our very best for our customers at both sites. Every day!
Welcome to the Schwindegg plant
Our head office is situated 60 kilometres east of Munich in the western part of the district of Mühldorf am Inn. Here, over 150 skilled workers are dedicated to supplying our customers in industry and the trades with high-quality hardwood products. These range from sawn timber, edged timber and solid wood panels to briquettes and sawdust. In total, we process over 60,000 solid cubic metres of hardwood annually in Schwindegg, sourced from strictly PEFC-certified forestry operations.
Further facts at a glance:
- 130,000 m² of operational space
- Sawmill with round timber handling facilities
- Wet storage areas
- Administration building with innovation centre
- Energy generation with connected large-capacity dryers
- High-tech production of edged timber and solid wood panels

Welcome to our Babensham site
Just 30 kilometres south of Schwindegg, in the district of Rosenheim, lies our second production site, on the outskirts of Wasserburg am Inn. In Babensham, 20 employees use modern machinery to cut approximately 35,000 solid cubic metres of softwood annually across a production area of over 60,000 m². Specifically, we primarily produce pallets in a wide variety of designs here for industrial customers in the chemical, food manufacturing and automotive sectors, amongst others. Naturally, the softwood processed here also comes from sustainably managed forests in the surrounding area.
