Boiler Operator / Plant Operator at a Combined Heat and Power Plant (m/f/d)
for our state-of-the-art biomass steam boiler plant with turbine power generation – the latest generation of technology

What you can expect from us:
You will operate and monitor a state-of-the-art biomass steam boiler plant (built in 2025), including water treatment, power generation and backup systems.
Your varied day-to-day work will include, amongst other things:
- Operating and monitoring our modern biomass steam boiler plant and associated backup systems
- Carrying out maintenance and inspection work
- Identifying and rectifying faults, working with internal and external technicians and mechanics where necessary
- Receiving fuel and carrying out quality control checks on the fuels used
- Coordinating fuel logistics (e.g. unloading lorries, feeding wood fuels into the plant using a wheel loader)
- Operating and monitoring production lines for waste wood utilisation
- Monitoring water treatment, including taking and analysing water samples
- Sharing responsibility for tidiness and cleanliness in the work area
- Mechanised loading and unloading of customers’ vehicles with firewood
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Ideally, a completed apprenticeship as a boiler operator, plant and machinery operator, industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, electronics technician or equivalent
- Initial experience in operating technical equipment in the energy supply sector is desirable – particularly from heating plants, biomass plants or power stations
- Technical understanding, reliability and a keen eye for processes
- Flexibility to be on regular, paid on-call duty outside normal working hours in the event of faults
- A Class B driving licence; a forklift and/or excavator licence is an advantage
